Personal Training

We have brought together an elite group of Personal Trainers and Class Instructors to help guide you on your quest. With over 50 years of combined personal training experience we can pair you with the right trainer to match your training style and goals. Private and semi private personal training sessions are available from our experienced staff. Sold in packs of ten workouts, our 30 and 55 minute personal training sessions can be scheduled in advance for your convenience.



Joe Gold Joe Gold

Joe has has always had a passion for fitness; he believes a fit lifestyle can be incorporated into anyone's daily routine. He thrives on exposing his clients to new training concepts that deviate from the traditional health club approach. His experience comes from over 20 years of participation in fitness programs at recreational and competitive levels. Joe's love for training drew him away from a traditional carreer as a corporate manager onto the gym floor where he has helped develop some of the programs currently being taught at the club. Aside from his duties as the club's owner, Joe also participates as a personal trainer, and coaches our Suspension Training and Gravity classes.

 

Mark Kern Mark Kern

Mark has always been fascinated with human performance, and wellness. Mark competed for 4 years on the UCSD Rowing Team and was an Assistant Rowing coach in 2001. He completed in his first marathon this past year and has enjoyed running half marathons over the past few years. Mark also has a passion for hiking, especially where there are challenging day hikes to be found. Mark currently works as  a Personal Trainer, as well as a TeamSpin and Gravity instructor.

 

Karren House Karren House

Energetic, straightforward, friendly and intense.  Karren's no-nonsense approach to working out has established her as one of the best! Whether she is instructing classes, training clients, or creating innovative and inspiring workouts, her positive attitude and energetic personality is captivating and contagious. Karren's involvement in the club spans from being the club's manager, to instructing Gravity, Flying Iron, and TeamSpin, as well as personal training.

 

Mark Kern Robert Martin

Robert is a certified personal trainer, group instructor, and competitive age group endurance athlete. He competes in races from 5K to marathon distance and triathlon. Robert is a 2010 and 2011 Team Aquaphor Sponsored Athlete. Robert has six years experience as a trainer of athletes from high school to Masters Level. Robert understands that there is no one fitness program that is best for everyone, so every program is carefully developed for the individual goals, circumstances, and abilities of each client. He believes the keys to healthy living, consistent gains, and injury prevention are Balance, Moderation, and Variety in daily living and training.
